Life Story:
6087644 Lance Corporal Frederick Frank Allen was born on 23 September 1921, the son of Florance Allen from Clapham in the north of London.
Frank was in the Queen's Royal Regiment before transferring to the Parachute Regiment.
He completed his Parachute Course 58 at Ramat David, Palestine, from 01 - 11 August 1943, making him one of the early bunch that joined whilst the battalion was still forming.
He joined the Mortar Platoon of Support Company, 11th Parachute Battalion, after finishing his physical and weapons courses.
Frank died on the 1st November 1944 at the age of 23. Frank has no known grave. He is mentioned on the Groesbeek Memorial Panel No. 8.
