4986064 Private Ronald G. Baldwin was born on 18 April 1923.

He was on parachute course 56 at Ramat David, Palestine, from 25 July until 06 August 1943 and was assigned to the MMG platoon of Support Company

During the Battle of Arnhem he was taken prisoner of war. After initially being taken to Stalag 12A in Limburg, Germany, next he went to Stalag IVC in Brux, Czechoslovakia where he had to work in a mine.

After liberation he returned to the UK and he stayed in the army until he was demobbed early 1950s.

Ron died on August 13, 1997 at the age of 74.
