2931016 Private Norman Rutter Bell

2931016 Private Norman Rutter Bell was born on 23rd March 1922 in Fleetwood, Lancashire; son of Charles Oliver Bell and Alice Bell (née Battarbee).

In early 1943 Norman married Marion Cook in Wallasey, Cheshire.

Norman jumped into The Battle of Arnhem in September 1944 with the other members of the 11th Parachute Battalion. On 22nd September 1944, whilst fighting, he sustained injuries and was subsequently reported wounded in action.

Norman died in Thornton, Blackpool on 10th May 1974
